WOW thanks to Jette Fuglsang for the most beautiful pictures and sweet words about the DogCoach dog walking jacket
My name is Jette Fuglsang and I live in Odder, about 20 km south of Aarhus – I was the one who was so lucky to win a DogCoach dog walking jacket in the photo competition.
In terms of dogs, I am an Agility and clicker trainer in DcH Odder.
I am very interested in learning, clicker training and behavior - also dog/human behavior in a training context - my goal is to create happy, thinking dogs who like to work with their people.
My own dog Chakika – or Kika – is a happy 2.5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch.
The breed originally comes from Africa and is also called the African Lion Dog – so of course she should have something African in her pedigree.
Her full name is: AKIZURI CHAKIKA BY ARGOS – Chakika means to make an impression and she does so daily with her big dark brown eyes, crazy ideas, super curious mind and her willingness to work.
We have followed each other through thick and thin her entire life, as I was present at her birth at my friend's, who has the kennel Akizuri.
We are currently training DcH's obedience program (C class) – as Chakika is a real nose and running dog, she loves rounding, field search, jumping and retrieving, etc. – so I thought she and her nose should be challenged a little more than they are in LP obedience and Rally, but that can always come.
She is a very versatile dog, she also runs Lure Coursing (racing after artificial hares), walks Schweiss trails, does Doggy Fitness and sometimes she runs Agility for fun.
In addition, we love nature and good walks, alone or with friends – Chakika is involved in most things I can think of to do with her – which can be very atypical for a Ridgeback.
In conclusion, I would like to say a huge thank you to DogCoach for my dog walking jacket, which is warm, functional and lovely!
– I saw that there is a version 2 in the works and that feedback is wanted regarding possible improvements.
I've been thinking about what the jacket is missing, but I can't think of anything it doesn't have!
If I had to say something, I WANT a summer version and definitely a DOG TRAINING VEST with the same great functionalities, the vest would be great with replaceable, tight treat pockets so they can be washed... because we don't have time to wait for them to get clean - we have to go out to train...
Happy greetings
Chakika and Jette :)
Happy dog walker feedback
