Mom told us that we were going on holiday to Bornholm with our human older sister. We thought that sounded really nice.
Suddenly one day mom put a new cage in the living room with one of our blankets in it, she lured us in with treats to go in there. We do anything for treats, so we went in and out of the cage, we lay down and we slept in there for a while. Mom got so happy, and then we know treats fall out – so for several days we did it over and over again, and she found the extra tasty treats.
The day we were leaving, our dog's big sister was dropped off at Grandma's place, where she was going on vacation. Mom's entire car was packed with things for the trip, we had noticed one box in particular. It was the box of dog food and treats, she had also brought some toys.
We picked up our human older sister, who talked the whole way to Ystad. Mom and sister had talked about how exciting the ferry ride would be. We had no idea what a ferry was, but it was obviously exciting.
The ferry wasn't as exciting as Mom had said, there were a lot of people and their stairs were very steep and slippery. We had to sit somewhere with a lot of other dogs, and we wanted to say hello and talk to them – but Mom thought that was a bad idea when we didn't know them.
We kept an eye on it all, but it was pretty boring – so we took a nap on the seat while mom and sister drank coffee.
We were going to stay at a campsite in a cabin with two beds.
This meant that we could spend the whole night changing from one bed to the other. When the car had to be emptied, we went into the cage that Mom had had in the living room. Here we could sit and watch everything, while children came to say hello.
When children come and say hello, we always behave nicely and look very cute - then mom becomes so happy and proud, and calls us the best girls.
It was actually quite fun being on Bornholm, there were so many new places to smell and look at. Every time we went to a new place we were photographed, we like that.
Then we sit nicely and wait for the click, and at the same time we each look our own way – mom may get a little irritated, but we think it's funny every time.
When we were going home, we had agreed that we would just lie down on the ferry and take a nap. But then there was a big cute dog who fell in love with Luna. He kept coming over and wanting to kiss her. Luckily, his mother thought it was sooooo cute and it triggered a delicious treat.
We hope that mom thought we behaved well and would like to take us on vacation another time.
